ControlChartPro Live supports a number of dataset types to meet different quality process needs. Users can choose among several formats or request the development of custom formats. Built-in dataset types include:

Precision and Accuracy Chart Types

For precision charts, ControlChart Pro Live calculates the centerline of the graph using the mean of the dataset. Control and warning limits are calculated as either a percentage of that mean or as a factor multiplied times the standard deviation from the mean.Precision charts represent best how reproducibly the process behaves over time.

While similar to precision charts, accuracy charts allow the user to define the centerline of the graph, expanding on the opportunities to view the data in a variety of ways. Accuracy charts are ideal for representations of how closely the process matches a known value over time.

Organize Data by Projects and Datasets

ControlChartPro Live defines a "dataset" as a single grid of chart data. Each dataset has a type; for example, n=1. Projects are collections of datasets. By defining projects and datasets in this way, ControlChartPro Live allows quality control data to be organized more conveniently for easy access and review. In addition, all of the data in ControlChartPro Live is stored in a central database maintained by ChemSW and accessible from any web browser, delivering immediate access anytime, any where.

End-to-End Data Sharing, Security and Control

Many control charting solutions are desktop applications. As a result, the data is not available to distributed users and has poor security controls. ControlChartPro Live solves this challenge by utilizing a central hosted database under complete security control. Each user is granted permissions on each project by your Account Administrator, who controls user access levels for viewing, editing, or creating new project data. And, when users edit data, ControlChartPro Live automatically manages the process so that simultaneous users don't create data conflicts.

Sophisticated Graphing and Display Options

ControlChartPro Live displays the current control chart next to the data at all times. When users enter new data, the graph is updated to reflect the changes. In addition, users can sub-select a range of data and the chart will automatically update. Users can zoom and scroll the graph easily to review large amounts of data. ControlChartPro Live provides a desktop application feel with the convenience of a zero installation web application.

Import and Export Data

ControlChartPro Live has both cut and paste and full importing and exporting capability. By using the Windows clipboard, you can effortlessly include the actual control chart presentation directly in your word-processing or spreadsheet report. ControlChartPro Live allows users to import and export Excel 2003 / Excel 97 data files.

Print to PDF Reporting and Review

ControlChartPro Live allows users to generate data grid reports and print control charts to Portable Document Format (PDF), making charts and data readily accessible for review outside the application.

Generate Instant Statistics

ControlChartPro Live allows users to view instant statistics on any set of data in real-time. If only the statistics on certain records within a file need to be graphed, just highlight those records and the statistics are recalculated automatically. The number of records (n), Mean, Standard Deviation, Coefficient of Variation, Minimum, and Maximum are instantly displayed.

ControlChartPro Live has several new features that make data entry, editing, and charting even more efficient. The familiar spreadsheet-style interface is easy to navigate yet packed with sophisticated data management features.
